We are part of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a global community of medical specialty camps founded by Paul Newman. He believed that kids with serious illnesses needed a place to “kick back and raise a little hell.” And we couldn’t agree more.

Here at camp, there are so many superheroes in our community! 🦸 👏 From our campers to volunteers, and our staff to our donors, the strength of our community comes from the combined power of all of our superheroes. Today is #NationalSuperheroDay, and each year at A Taste of Camp, we recognize one of our supporters with the Superhero Award.
This year, we are recognizing Greer and Jack Gardner with the 2025 Superhero Award. From serving as dedicated Board Members to rolling up their sleeves as volunteers, Greer and Jack have contributed their time, talent, and treasure to ensure that camp remains free, fun, and medically safe for every camper who needs it. ❤️
On National Superhero Day, we also want to shine a light on our previous Superhero Award Recipients for their support and for leading Roundup River Ranch to where we are today.

Volunteer week spotlight: Roundup Reset & Refresh, and service project groups! 🥳 These groups are often local organizations or businesses looking to give back together. They truly do so much necessary behind-the-scenes hard work around our campsite that we couldn`t do on our own!
Roundup Reset and Refresh teams come out to camp after our Family Camp and Summer Camp sessions to get all of camp prepared for the next session. They make sure the cabins and staff lodge are sparkling clean and ready for the next group of campers and volunteers to arrive! 🧹🧽🫧🧺
Other volunteer groups want to give back through specific service projects, such as building a beautiful garden bed. 🌸 Some arrive ready to help with whatever types of projects need to be completed around camp at that time!
