\"ColorfulEstuvimos encantados de tener a Jamel en el campamento el verano pasado. Como voluntario por primera vez, se enter\u00f3 de la oportunidad por su trabajo en Abercrombie & Fitch. Como socio incre\u00edble de Roundup River Ranch, Abercrombie ofrece tiempo de voluntariado a los empleados en SeriousFun Camps. Para Jamel, esta fue su primera experiencia en un campamento y su primera vez en Colorado.<\/p>\n

\u201cCuando me enter\u00e9 de que ven\u00eda a Colorado, supe que iba a ser incre\u00edble. Me hac\u00eda mucha ilusi\u00f3n ver las incre\u00edbles vistas y devolver algo a la sociedad durante una semana.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Aparte de las dificultades de hacer las maletas para un viaje a Colorado, Jamel no ten\u00eda ninguna expectativa al llegar al campamento, lo que, seg\u00fan \u00e9l, le permiti\u00f3 vivirlo todo con los ojos abiertos. \u201cAl venir al campamento sin ninguna idea preconcebida, pude experimentarlo todo junto con los campistas. Algunos de los campistas hab\u00edan estado en el campamento antes, as\u00ed que fue divertido ayudar a facilitar junto con los consejeros.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jamel dijo que durante la semana pudo divertirse mucho con los campistas y prestarles apoyo cuando lo necesitaban. \u201cEl personal con el que trabajaba y lo bien que lo hac\u00edan, sab\u00eda que pod\u00eda echar una mano y ayudar en lo que hiciera falta. El equipo era tan fuerte que me result\u00f3 muy f\u00e1cil echar una mano\u201d.\u201d\"\"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jamel y sus campistas vivieron momentos memorables durante toda la semana. Incluso para \u00e9l, \u00a1hizo tiro con arco y fue a pescar por primera vez! Algunos de los campistas que ya hab\u00edan pescado antes incluso le ayudaron a ense\u00f1arle.<\/p>\n

En su camarote hab\u00eda dos grupos de hermanos, a los que Jamel ayud\u00f3 a salir de su hermandad y a conocer al resto de compa\u00f1eros. \u201cLos hermanos se limitaban a hablar entre ellos, lo cual es natural, pero fue agradable ayudarles, junto con otro consejero, a salir de su caparaz\u00f3n. Al final se sent\u00edan muy c\u00f3modos, sobre todo con nosotros. Me alegr\u00f3 ver el crecimiento desde el principio hasta hoy\u201d.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Uno de los mensajes que Jamel quiso dejar a sus campistas es que sigan siendo ellos mismos aunque, al agruparse, sean m\u00e1s conscientes de los dem\u00e1s y de lo que les rodea. \u201cEres m\u00e1s libre cuando eres t\u00fa mismo y abierto.
