El campamento est\u00e1 lleno de momentos memorables, como el primer pez capturado en Pesca y las primeras dianas en Tiro con Arco. Pero, para la familia Lander, un momento musical m\u00e1gico en el campamento les brind\u00f3 la oportunidad de experimentar las sencillas alegr\u00edas de la infancia.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201c\u00a1Muchas gracias por un incre\u00edble fin de semana de campamento familiar en Roundup River Ranch! Esta fue la primera visita de nuestra familia al camping, y es una que siempre recordaremos. Quer\u00eda compartir uno de un mill\u00f3n de momentos especiales que sucedieron durante nuestro tiempo all\u00ed. Cuando nuestra hija fue hospitalizada por primera vez en febrero de 2021, recuerdo que nuestros d\u00edas estaban llenos de miedo, lo desconocido y la p\u00e9rdida. Una ma\u00f1ana, un musicoterapeuta pas\u00f3 por nuestra habitaci\u00f3n del hospital y trajo consigo un grupo de instrumentos. Nuestro hijo, que entonces ten\u00eda cuatro a\u00f1os, eligi\u00f3 un xil\u00f3fono arco iris para acompa\u00f1ar su guitarra y su canto. Cuando coloc\u00f3 el xil\u00f3fono en la cama del hospital, ten\u00eda la altura perfecta para el peque\u00f1o cuerpo de nuestra hija. Durante los d\u00edas previos a su hospitalizaci\u00f3n, hab\u00eda sentido el enorme impacto de que nuestra hija perdiera su infancia, su salud y su energ\u00eda tan r\u00e1pidamente.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Pas\u00f3 de trepar por las barras de los monos y de las fiestas familiares de baile a ser una ni\u00f1a a la que hab\u00eda que sobornar y engatusar para que diera unas vueltas por la planta de oncolog\u00eda dos veces al d\u00eda. Este maremoto de p\u00e9rdidas agrav\u00f3 nuestro miedo a lo que estaba por venir. Pero cuando cogi\u00f3 el mazo del xil\u00f3fono y empez\u00f3 a tocar las teclas mientras Michael cantaba, nuestra hija sonri\u00f3. R\u00e1pidamente cog\u00ed mi tel\u00e9fono y a\u00fan conservo el v\u00eddeo de 17 segundos de ella cantando y moviendo las caderas, una se\u00f1al preciosa que mi marido y yo vimos una y otra vez en las semanas siguientes con la esperanza de que la ni\u00f1a que am\u00e1bamos no se perdiera en su camino hacia la salud.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7183 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/roundupriverranch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lander-family-blog-assets-04-1-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><br \/>\n<\/em><em>Dos a\u00f1os y medio despu\u00e9s, mi hija se levant\u00f3 temprano el s\u00e1bado por la ma\u00f1ana durante el Campamento Familiar y quiso visitar el Jard\u00edn Sonoro de Lilly antes de desayunar. Quer\u00eda ver todo lo que hab\u00eda en el campamento en el precioso tiempo de que dispon\u00edamos. Abrimos la puerta del jard\u00edn sonoro e inmediatamente corri\u00f3 hacia los instrumentos exteriores. Una vez m\u00e1s, la vi coger el mazo de un xil\u00f3fono arco iris mientras empezaba a golpear: \u201cOh, cari\u00f1o, Clementine\u201d. La sonrisa de su cara fue igualada por la m\u00eda mientras sus notas se secaban en el aire y yo respiraba la belleza de las monta\u00f1as matutinas. Ahora estamos al otro lado de todas las pruebas, procedimientos, efectos secundarios y miedo que conlleva un diagn\u00f3stico de c\u00e1ncer infantil. Hemos encontrado un lugar en el que nuestra hija y nuestra familia podemos elegir nuestros retos en lugar de que nos los impongan.
