Leave a Legacy

Make an impact that resonates for generations to come.

Legacy giving creates powerful, philanthropic gifts beyond your lifetime, amplifies your impact, builds an enduring tribute to loved ones, and sustains Roundup River Ranch’s mission. To ensure that children with serious illnesses always have the magic of camp to enrich their lives, remember Roundup River Ranch in your will or estate planning. It can be as simple as adding a percentage of your estate or specific dollar amount bequest to your existing will with a codicil. You may also choose from a variety of other options including receiving guaranteed lifetime income from a current asset by creating a charitable remainder trust with Roundup River Ranch as the beneficiary. In addition, you may name Roundup River Ranch as the beneficiary of real property, marketable securities, qualified retirement plans, IRA accounts, or life insurance policies. Whatever giving vehicle works best for you, it will have an impact that resonates for generations to come.

When you remember Roundup River Ranch through a planned gift, you will be recognized as a member of the Paul Newman Legacy Society at camp and in printed materials, as well as receive special invitations to events, as a thank you for your investment in the long-term sustainability of Roundup River Ranch.

The Gardners wholeheartedly share their enthusiastic love of Roundup River Ranch in leading by example. “Roundup River Ranch was a perfect fit for us in its early years,” Jack said, “Because Greer worked at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the Oncology/Hematology department with Dr. Lia Gore, one of the founding Board Members and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee. As members of the Board ourselves, we thought it was important to continue support of Roundup in our wills.”

Greer shared that establishing a planned gift, “Allowed us to leave something larger than we would during our lifetime. Roundup River Ranch is a beneficiary of our estate and that enables us to be remembered in some way. We will always know that our gift makes it possible for camp to be available to children with serious illnesses and that the mission of Roundup River Ranch can and will be continued.”

“We both came from families who ‘gave back’ in some way,” Greer added. “It is a familiar pattern for us. The amount of the gift does not need to be large, so anyone is able to do this. We were updating our estate plan due to the changing ages of our grandchildren, who entered adulthood, so it was a logical time to add this wonderful way to continue our support of Roundup River Ranch!”
