Volunteer at Summer Camp

Join us at Summer Camp. Blue skies, huge smiles and infinite rewards are in store.

Our summer camps bring hundreds of kids with serious illnesses to the glorious mountains of Colorado where fresh air and awe-inspiring experiences are plentiful. From the first “welcome” to the final bittersweet goodbye, campers say that even their first time here feels like coming home.

During our Summer Camp sessions, we welcome volunteers to serve in a variety of important ways (while also soaking up that Colorado beauty themselves!) Some of our Summer Camp volunteer positions include:


 

Cabin Volunteer

  • Description: Volunteers in this role have the most interaction with our campers. They provide care and guidance for campers throughout their days at camp by supporting them and cheering for them in activities including program areas, special events and mealtimes. Summer Camp Cabin Volunteers will live in the cabins with campers, while Family Camp Cabin Volunteers live in staff housing. This position requires long, demanding hours and is a life-changing and rewarding experience.
  • Time Commitment: Volunteers must commit to a full session.

Depot (Medical) Desk Volunteer

  • Description: Volunteers in this role assists the Medical Team with greeting our campers, staff and volunteers checking into The Depot (medical facility). They will enter basic information into the computer logbooks, tidy up exam rooms, waiting rooms and Depot desk area. Medical confidentiality experience in this position is a plus, along with basic computer and communication skills.
  • Time Commitment: Volunteers must commit as full session volunteers

Kitchen Volunteer

  • Description: We pride ourselves on accommodating all of our camper’s dietary restrictions. Be a part of the team that allows our campers to be happy and excited for each and every meal. Volunteers in this role helps with food prep, dishwashing, assists head chefs with cooking, Dining hall set up/tear down/cleaning, and kitchen and food storage area organization. All kitchen volunteers must have their Hepatitis A vaccination.
  • Time Commitment: Volunteers can commit as day volunteers or full session volunteers.

Photography Volunteer

  • Description: Photography Volunteers capture the magic that happens at camp. Volunteers in this ole get the opportunity to observe many aspects of camp as they travel throughout camp. Photography experience is preferred.  
  • Time Commitment: A full-session commitment is preffered, but not required. Please speak to the Volunteer Team for details.

Program Volunteer​

  • Description: There is limited availability in this volunteer role. Please contact the Volunteer Team for more information.

Residential Life Volunteer 

  • Description: The do-it-all, magic-makers of camp. This exciting position allows you to get a taste of several aspects of camp by supporting cabin life, kitchen, housekeeping, programs, and more! Volunteers in this role may be housed in staff housing or the Cabins depending on interest and availability.
  • Time Commitment: A full-session commitment is preffered, but not required. Please speak to the Volunteer Team for details.
