Welcome back to the Medical Minute! This month, we are joined by Dr. Danielle Barber, a Neurologist at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Barber explains how children with Neurologic and Genetic diagnoses benefit from coming to medically-supported camps such as Roundup River Ranch. 😊 Our third 2026 Summer Camp session will be for campers with Neurologic and Genetic Conditions. Diagnoses served during this session include: Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy/Stroke/TBI, Craniofacial Abnormalities (including but not limited to Cleft Lip/Palate), Spina Bifida, Genetic Conditions, Neurofibromatosis, and Dermatologic Conditions. Our fourth Family Camp session will serve campers with Neurologic and Genetic Conditions. Want to know if you qualify for our Summer Camp or Family Camp? At the end of January we enjoyed spending time with alumni from all sides of the country (From Los Angeles to Georgia!) to catch up and have fun! 💻🫶 With a mix of past campers, Spurs, and campers turned volunteers, there were a lot of laughs as we discussed our favorite weird smells and created personalized tote bags. It was heartwarming to see alumni connect over what they are doing now, and even form connections because they are in the same majors at school. ❤️🧑‍🍳 Did you miss this one? Mark your calendar for our next Alumni Reunion Online on April 17th for an online cooking class with Chef Mary! What’s cooking? YOU ARE! Learn and cook an easy recipe. We will all enjoy our meal together (online), just like old times at camp! (Sign up by April 3rd on Campsite!)

Say hello to Volunteer Jenna! 👋 After her children attended Summer Camp, then attending Family Camp together as a whole family, Jenna knew she wanted to give other campers and families the same sense of safety and relief she felt. We sat down with her to learn more about her volunteer experience at Roundup River Ranch. 💛
