THE POWER OF PURE
CHILDHOOD JOY
Camp programs have the extraordinary power to make kids with life-altering diagnoses feel like ordinary kids.
The fortitude of fun.
The strength of silliness.
The boldness that
comes from belonging.
When a child with a life-altering diagnosis experiences camp, it lights a fire inside them and they discover they have the power to take on life in bold, joyful new ways. It ignites an “I can do it” belief, as they discover that they are strong and resilient. And, it fuels entire families with inspiration and hope.
Camp programs have the extraordinary power to make kids with life-altering diagnoses feel like ordinary kids.
Our volunteers fuel fun and friendships and get a powerful amount of love and inspiration in return.

Welcome back to the Medical Minute! This month, we are joined by Dr. Danielle Barber, a Neurologist at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Barber explains how children with Neurologic and Genetic diagnoses benefit from coming to medically-supported camps such as Roundup River Ranch. 😊 Our third 2026 Summer Camp session will be for campers with Neurologic and Genetic Conditions. Diagnoses served during this session include: Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy/Stroke/TBI, Craniofacial Abnormalities (including but not limited to Cleft Lip/Palate), Spina Bifida, Genetic Conditions, Neurofibromatosis, and Dermatologic Conditions. Our fourth Family Camp session will serve campers with Neurologic and Genetic Conditions. Want to know if you qualify for our Summer Camp or Family Camp? Reach out to medteam@roundupriverranch.org! ❤️ Stay tuned for the next Medical Minute! 🩺
At the end of January we enjoyed spending time with alumni from all sides of the country (From Los Angeles to Georgia!) to catch up and have fun! 💻🫶 With a mix of past campers, Spurs, and campers turned volunteers, there were a lot of laughs as we discussed our favorite weird smells and created personalized tote bags. It was heartwarming to see alumni connect over what they are doing now, and even form connections because they are in the same majors at school. ❤️
🧑🍳 Did you miss this one? Mark your calendar for our next Alumni Reunion Online on April 17th for an online cooking class with Chef Mary! What’s cooking? YOU ARE! Learn and cook an easy recipe. We will all enjoy our meal together (online), just like old times at camp! (Sign up by April 3rd on Campsite!)
We had an incredible morning last week at @childrenscolo, where we hosted a booth at the Summer Camp Fair! ☀️ It was wonderful to be able to talk to other summer camps as well as CHCO staff and visitors about Roundup River Ranch and our mission. For a little taste of camp fun, we even set up an indoor archery range - which was a big hit for kids and adults alike! 🏹 A BIG thank you to Children`s Hospital Colorado for the opportunity to be at this fair, we had the best time! 🩷

Say hello to Volunteer Jenna! 👋 After her children attended Summer Camp, then attending Family Camp together as a whole family, Jenna knew she wanted to give other campers and families the same sense of safety and relief she felt. We sat down with her to learn more about her volunteer experience at Roundup River Ranch. 💛
