What makes Roundup River Ranch so extraordinary?

We make campers with life-altering diagnoses feel like ordinary kids. Giggling, laughing, conspiring, arrow-shooting, horseback-riding, art-creating kids. We help campers and their families enjoy the gift of extraordinarily joyful moments, lasting friendships, newfound courage, and memories that remain long after the last sโ€™more is devoured.

Welcome back to the Medical Minute! This month, we are joined by Dr. Monique Germone, a Pediatric Psychologist with the Colorado Center for Celiac Disease at Childrenโ€™s Hospital. Dr. Germone explains how Celiac Disease is handled at camp and why campers with Celiac Disease benefit from going to a camp that offers a gluten-free menu. ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ ๐Ÿฉท

Our first 2026 Summer Camp session will be for campers with Gastrointestinal and Liver Conditions and Celiac Disease, so this first session will be entirely gluten-free! Diagnoses served during this session include: liver disease, liver transplant, IBD/IBS (Crohnโ€™s and colitis), short gut syndrome, Hirschsprungโ€™s, gastroparesis, g-tube dependence, colorectal conditions, chronic pancreatitis, and celiac disease.

Our first Family Camp session in 2026 is also entirely gluten-free, serving campers with Gastrointestinal & Liver Conditions including celiac. Not sure if you qualify? Reach out to our medical team at medteam@roundupriverranch.org!

P.S. Camper applications open January 5th, so mark your calendar to join us at Summer Camp 1 or Family Camp 1!

Stay tuned for next monthโ€™s Medical Minute ๐Ÿฉบ
