Outreach Roles

There are so many meaningful ways to give your time and support the heart of camp – both on the grounds of our campsite and out in the community. Operations Support roles help power our special events, keep camp running smoothly, and bring joy to campers through our Outreach Programs. These are typically day-volunteer roles and may not require the full application process and training needed for our residential program volunteers.

Box Building Volunteer

Help assemble and pack activity boxes sent directly to campers, families, and Camp In Your Community partners. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. This can be a group or individual activity, and there are Box Building Volunteer opportunities in Denver, and up at Camp in Gypsum, CO.

Club Online Volunteer

Online Club takes place throughout each month in the Spring and Fall. Each session lasts one hour with a 30-minute check-in before and is held once a week throughout the month. Join as a counselor for fun, interactive Online club sessions 3 times each month! Volunteers must be at least 19 years old. Check out our current Online Club opportunities here!

New Volunteer Immunization Records Needed:

Our primary concern is to ensure that you and our campers have a healthy and fun camp experience. Due to our camper’s compromised immune systems, it is very important that all staff and volunteers are in compliance with our immunization requirements.

Records of the following immunizations are required for the first year of volunteering:

Background Check & Fingerprinting explained:

Due to Colorado childcare licensing & ACA accreditation requirements, our staff and volunteers complete a series of 3 background checks prior to their participation in our program. The background checks consist of:

The CDEC Trails database background check searching specific history of child abuse and neglect

A fingerprint-based background check that searches criminal history in the Colorado bureau of Investigation database and the Federal Bureau of Investigation database

An annual national criminal background check (processed via CheckR; campbackgroundcheck.com for volunteers)
