Meet Camper Nolan

By Roundup River Ranch

Summer Camp 1: Gastrointestinal & Liver Conditions, & Celiac

Nolan’s first summer at Roundup River Ranch has been filled with laughter, new friendships, and a welcoming community that made him feel at home from the very beginning. With his positive attitude and friendly spirit, Nolan quickly became someone who could make everyone around him smile.

While Summer Camp offers plenty of adventures and activities, what has stood out most to Nolan is the friendships he’s built along the way.

“I’ve made a friend. His name is Briggs and he’s really funny and makes a lot of good jokes and he always has a good spirit,” Nolan shared.

Those connections have become some of the most meaningful parts of his camp experience. When asked how Roundup River Ranch has impacted him, Nolan’s answer came easily.

“Camp has impacted me because I just love making friends and I’ve made a lot of friends here,” Nolan said.

Nolan also shared the special reason he was able to attend camp this summer: his sibling, Liam, is also a Roundup River Ranch camper.

“My sibling’s name is Liam, and he has EoE. So, he is allowed to come to camp, and I was able to join him,” Nolan shared.

For Nolan, Roundup River Ranch is a place where everyone is welcomed and encouraged to be themselves. When asked to describe camp in three words, he chose “teamwork, responsibility and kindness” – three qualities he feels define the camp community.

This year’s camp theme, “You’re Invited,” especially resonated with Nolan. To him, it represents the welcoming spirit that campers experience from the moment they arrive.

“You’re welcome and anybody can join,” he said.

As Nolan reflected on his first Summer Camp at Roundup River Ranch, it’s clear that the friendships he’s made and the sense of belonging he’s found have made camp an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by kindness, encouragement, and a community that embraces everyone, Nolan leaves camp with memories and friendships that will last far into the future.
