Camper Eligibility

WE WANT TO MAKE SURE CAMPERS FIND THEIR PERFECT SPOT.

First of all, put away your wallets. All of our sessions are free of charge to campers and their families. Download 2026 Onsite Camp Calendar.

Eligibility Requirements

At this time, Roundup River Ranch does not primarily serve the following diagnoses without a qualifying, co-occurring diagnosis (see list below or contact medteam@roundupriverranch.org):  

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) 
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) 
• Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) 

We do serve campers with these diagnoses who also have co-occurring, qualifying diagnoses. 

Diagnoses unable to be served based on medical support availability: 

• Hemodialysis during onsite summer sessions 
• Ventilator dependence 
• 24-hour CPAP/BiPAP support required 

Diagnoses We Serve

We serve children with a variety of medical diagnoses who are within 3 years of active treatment or continue to face the day-to-day challenges of a life-altering diagnosis. Medical conditions and qualifying diagnoses we serve include (but are not limited to):

• *We can only host 1 camper per session with cystic fibrosis 
• **Certain diagnoses such as type 1 diabetes, peritoneal dialysis support, and tracheostomies require specialty medical support and will be accepted and served based on that support availability. Spots for these diagnoses are limited and found only in certain sessions where medical support is appropriate. 
• Children must be between the ages of 7 and 17 while attending onsite Summer Camp, Camp Online sessions, or to receive Joy, Delivered.
• Children must be at a developmental age of at least 7 years old to attend Camp Online sessions.
• The diagnosed child must be between the ages of 5 and 17 while attending onsite Family Camp sessions.
• Children must be within three years of active treatment and/or currently experiencing the day-to-day challenges of a chronic or life-altering condition.
• Children must be socially, physically, and emotionally able and open to group activities and, for Camp Online, the online camp environment. We have developed a robust FAQs document regarding onsite, in-person programs, so you know what to expect.

Selection of Campers

• We would love to have every single child who applies be able to join us at camp, but space is sometimes limited. All applications are reviewed and individually considered by our Medical Team and Camp Team.
• Roundup River Ranch reserves the right to make selections and decisions based on factors deemed appropriate.

  • Onsite Consent waiver
  • Specialty Provider Clinic Note- diagnosed campers only
  • Colorado State Immunizations
  • Mental, Emotional, and Social Health Form
  • Accommodations and Considerations
  • Yearly seasonal flu vaccine
  • Medical Information Form
  • Allergies, Anaphylaxis and Dietary Restrictions form
  • Medications, Vitamins, and Supplements form
  • Session Transportation form
  • Physical or Wellness Exam- siblings only
  • ** Other forms may appear in the application process depending on answers.**
