What did the mare say to her foal? “Hay, it’s pasture bedtime!” 🐴 Earlier this week, AJ Brink Outfitters came to camp to do Equestrian training with our seasonal staff. They met some of the horses that the campers will get to ride this summer, learned about important safety practices, & practiced leading and walking with the horses! We can`t wait for all the trail rides this summer. 🤠

It`s National Smile Day & we are smiling so big after such an incredible and inspiring Field to Fork Dinner Series by @mountain_crust on Thursday night. 😄 We were honored to be chosen as the beneficiary of the first dinner of the series!

Our team members Mackenzie and Katie were joined by Camper Ellena and her mom to to share camp joy with our Denver community. Many summer volunteers also attended to support the event and talk about camp!

Not only was the food divine, the venue at @mountaincrusteventvenue was gorgeous, and the community was extraordinary!❤

We are so grateful to @erickamporter from Rise Up Training and Consulting for walking our seasonal staff through crucial topics in her "Be a Good Human: Addressing Bias, Discovering Intersectionality, & Cultivating Belonging" workshop! 👏 This workshop addresses the damaging effects of implicit bias, explores the powerful influence of intersectionality in DEI efforts, and starts building a genuine sense of belonging. 🫶

Through this training, our seasonal staff are now empowered as a team (and individually) to redefine what it means to be a truly good human in the workplace. Thanks to Ericka, our seasonal staff are well-prepared to be good humans and make our theme, "You Belong Here", come to life every day of camp. ❤️

Yesterday was the BEST. DAY. EVER! 🥳 Our full-time, year-round staff were "campers" for the day, while our seasonal staff put their skills to use. After many days of training, they were able to practice what they`ve learned during an afternoon of fun! ☀️

Cabin groups went to Activity blocks to enjoy the Challenge Course, Boating, Archery, and Art! 🎨 Then Cabin Leaders prepared a cabin night activity to do with their group ranging from crafts, to candle chats, to scavenger hunts, and more! We ended the day all together with a Carnival - filled with face painting, the dunk tank, tie-dying, cotton candy, and lots of laughter. 🫶

It was a fun-filled day for our seasonal and full-time team to spend time together while preparing for upcoming camp sessions! ❤️
