Welcome back to the Medical Minute!
Did you know that March is National Kidney Month?
So here’s the deal. Your kidneys are super important. They clean your blood, balance fluids, and help keep you healthy. But when they don’t work right, life gets a lot more complicated. Some kids have to follow strict diets, take a ton of meds, or even do dialysis, which is a machine that does the kidneys’ job for them.
That’s why camp is such a big deal. It’s a place where kids with kidney disease can just be kids – making friends, playing games, and having fun, always staying safe with medical support.
Thanks for hanging out for this Medical Minute during National Kidney Month. Want to help? Learn more about kidney health, consider becoming an organ donor or support programs that help kids with kidney disease.
