Roundup River Ranch offers a unique combination of awesome camp fun and pediatric, specialty-specific medical care. We know it takes a lot of trust for parents and guardians to feel good about their kids coming to camp and we want to make sure families and campers have the utmost peace of mind about the care we offer.
We provide individualized medical care for each of our campers. We recruit provider, pharmacist, therapist and nurse volunteers with experience caring for children who have the medical conditions we serve. These professionals leave their lab coats and scrubs behind and join our medical team at camp. And while they may not “look” like providers or nurses when they’re swinging from a zip line, the truth is they are constantly focused on the needs and well-being of every camper.

Amazing medical facilities just steps from all the fun.
Our medical facility, called The Depot, is a state-of-the-art facility stocked with all the medical equipment and supplies needed to provide urgent, emergent and routine pediatric care. We work closely with families to ensure that every aspect of their child’s care is done exactly the same way at camp that is done at home. This includes accessing central lines, providing IV therapy, and even overnight peritoneal dialysis. We have nurses and providers available and on-call 24 hours a day while campers are on site.

We know providers, pharmacists, therapists, and nurses are incredibly busy in their professions. But that doesn’t stop them from volunteering their precious free time to join us at camp and make the experience all the more memorable for our campers. Many of these amazing, compassionate people are the same world-class medical professionals who care for our campers in clinics and hospitals back home.
For providers, pharmacists, therapists, and nurses interested in joining us as a medical volunteer, pediatric clinical experience is preferred and eligibility to volunteer is determined following an interview with Roundup River Ranch medical staff.. Preference is given to medical volunteers with experience and training in the diagnoses being served each session.
