We love you, Walmart!
Our friends at Walmart have dedicated their time at Roundup River Ranch through their VAP Program (Volunteerism Always Pays) every year Roundup River Ranch has been in operation. This month we want to send a shout out to our friends at Walmart for their long-standing support of Roundup River Ranch and children with serious illnesses and their families.
For the past 11 years, Walmart Associates have traveled from across the Rocky Mountains and the Western Slope to help ensure Roundup River Ranch is always ready for campers and guests. Prior to every Summer Camp season, Walmart crews help prepare to open camp. This means they are tending to landscape outside, setting up program sites, cleaning cabins, and getting Trent’s Cookhouse ready to serve our campers. Every fall, Walmart shows up yet again to help us prepare to as they like to say “put camp to bed” for the winter.
In 2021, 57 Walmart Associates volunteered 364 hours. This year they came in like superheroes as we prepared to host guests at camp for the first time in over a year at A Grateful Harvest fundraising event.
Thank you for being such incredible supporters of Roundup River Ranch Walmart! You are behind many giggle-filled, life-changing moments, and we can’t wait to continue impacting campers with serious illnesses and their families with you for many years to come.
