We want to spotlight another one of the amazing Nurse Practitioners who has made a HUGE impact at camp for #NationalNursePractitionerWeek! Meet Trish Eells, MSN, CPNP, AE-C, NP. Trish specializes in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and is also on our Medical Advisory Committee. She has been involved with camp for about 8 years now!
Q: What inspired you to become a Nurse Practitioner?
A: My desire to partner with children and their families to optimize their health with exceptional care and compassion.
Q: How did you hear about Roundup River Ranch?
A: Bridget Raleigh, my friend and fellow APP. When I saw Bridget’s face light up describing the impact RRR has had for children and their families, I knew I wanted to be a part of it!
Q: How has volunteering at Roundup River Ranch impacted your career?
A: It has allowed me to see kids in a different light outside the hospital/clinic setting and energizes me to provide the best care that I can throughout the year!
Q: What is your favorite part about camp?
A: Is it possible to pick just one?!? My favorite part is the photographs that live in my mind of the endless smiles and laughter, camaraderie, Stage Night, candle chats, and all of the firsts that live in the Book of Firsts!
Q: Can you share a little bit about your involvement on the Medical Advisory Committee?
A: Serving on the MAC has allowed me to work with other providers to ensure we are creating a safe environment for kids that enables them to embrace joy while making impactful connections through shared experiences.
Thank you, Trish, for your commitment to camp day in and day out!
