Roundup River Ranch Announces its Annual Gala, A Grateful Harvest, is Sold Out

A Grateful Harvest will support Roundup River Ranch’s mission to provide children with serious illnesses and their families free, life-changing camp programs

GYPSUM, COLO. (July 28, 2023) –Today, Roundup River Ranch, a nonprofit organization that enriches the lives of children with serious illnesses and their families, releases details for its annual gala, A Grateful Harvest, held on Saturday, August 12. Officially sold out two weeks ahead of the event, the nonprofit’s most popular gala will raise countless funds that will ensure Roundup River Ranch can provide free transformative camp experiences to those who need it most for generations to come.

“A Grateful Harvest always sells out for a reason–it gives our community of supporters a chance to experience the joy of camp together at our campsite,” said Sarah Johnson, president and CEO of Roundup River Ranch. “Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the magic of camp, and our community helps make that possible through this annual fundraiser.”

Roundup River Ranch is a proud member of SeriousFun Children’s Network. Founded by Paul Newman, SeriousFun Children’s Network is a growing global community of independently managed and financed camps and programs creating opportunities for children with serious illnesses and their families to reach beyond illness and discover joy, confidence and a new world of possibilities, always free of charge. Paul’s daughter and SeriousFun Ambassador, Clea Newman, will join Roundup River Ranch to celebrate this year’s A Grateful Harvest event and present the 2023 Paul Newman Legacy Award to the Frechette Family Foundation, a recognition awarded to celebrate individuals who, like Paul Newman, have made a commitment to the long-term sustainability of camp.

The evening will kick off with a cocktail hour, wine tasting, and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a four-course dinner from renowned local chefs including: Brian Akerman, Splendido; Paul Anders, Sweet Basil; Chris Schmidt, Craftsman; Molly Harrison, Hovey & Harrison. While enjoying delectable wines throughout the evening inside Trent’s Cookhouse, guests will have the chance to hear amazing camper stories, enjoy camper performances and participate in a live auction and Camper Call paddle raise. A Grateful Harvest is generously sponsored by Peak1 Express, Alpine Bank, First Western Trust, Vail Health, CordilleraCares, Vail Resorts EpicPromise, Vail Daily  and several generous individual sponsors.

While A Grateful Harvest is sold out, community members are encouraged to attend a brand new Roundup River Ranch event, The Bullseye Roundup at Casteel Creek in Edwards, Colo. on Thursday, August 10. Roundup River Ranch is excited to cater to the next generation of donors, sponsors and volunteers. Guests can enjoy a friendly  archery competition, delightful food stations,  live music by The Turntable Revue, a local band from Minturn, and more. Additionally, special guest and recently named Paralympic World Champion, Kevin Mather, who claimed  gold at the World Archery Para Championships on Sunday, July 23, 2023, will be on hand to support The Bullseye Roundup archery competition by offering tips and tricks.

For those unable to attend A Grateful Harvest or The Bullseye Roundup, join in on the fun through Roundup River Ranch’s online auction that begins on August 3 through August 13. All proceeds will benefit children with serious illnesses and their families. Visit https://cbo.io/bidapp/index.php?slug=agratefulweekend to make a donation or bid on an item.
