Comprised of A Grateful Harvest and The Bullseye Roundup, the Fundraising Week Drew Over 500 Supporters and raised 29% of the Nonprofit’s Annual Operating Needs

GYPSUM, COLO. (Aug 12, 2025) – Roundup River Ranch, a nonprofit providing free, medically-supported camp programs for children with life-altering diagnoses, raised $1.915 million during its annual fundraising celebration, A Grateful Week. The week included two signature events, The Bullseye Roundup on Tuesday, Aug. 5, and A Grateful Harvest on Saturday, August. 9. Both events generated 29% of the organization’s annual funding needs to support year-round programs, maintain its growing campsite, and deliver life-changing experiences for campers and families.

“A Grateful Week captured the heart of what camp means – joy, connection, healing and memorable moments,” said Sarah Johnson, CEO and president of Roundup River Ranch. “Hearing our campers share their stories was powerful and deeply felt by the audience, inspiring generosity during the paddle raise with gifts ranging from $100 to $50,000. The funds raised will set us up for success as we approach our 20th year as an organization, helping us open the doors to three new cabins and ensuring even more children experience the joy and healing of camp.”
The festivities kicked off with The Bullseye Roundup, a night of western-style fun and heartfelt giving at Lazy J Ranch featuring specialty cocktails, food stations, live music, local vendors, the Booze & Arrows dart game and an archery competition. The week culminated at the Gypsum campsite with a celebration of 15 years of A Grateful Harvest, where guests gathered in Trent’s Cookhouse for a four-course dinner with fine wines prepared by acclaimed local chefs Anthony Mazza (Minturn Saloon, Village Bagel), Paul Anders (Sweet Basil, Mountain Standard), Brian Ackerman (Splendido at the Chateau) and Chris Schmidt (Craftsman, il Mago, Bird Craft). These distinguished chefs generously volunteered their time and talents to create an unforgettable culinary experience. The evening also featured heartfelt camper stories, a live auction and a moving “camper call” paddle raise, all highlighting the life-changing impact of camp. As part of the celebration, Roundup River Ranch presented Donna Martin with the 2025 Paul Newman Legacy Award.
