Westport, CT (October 2, 2020) – SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, announced today that Allison Janney, Helen Mirren, Mark Hamill, Michael Sheen, Octavia Spencer, Renée Zellweger, Trisha Yearwood, and more will be part of the lineup for SeriousFun For All, a totally virtual, free event aimed at raising awareness and support for its camps and programs around the world. Seventeen-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Sting is also giving a special virtual performance during this year’s event, which is taking the place of the organization’s previously held gala events in New York and London. SeriousFun for All is a celebration of the global network that delivers life-changing experiences to kids living with serious illnesses and their families, totally free of charge. The premiere showing will be available to stream on Sunday, October 18 on Facebook Live and YouTube live at 6:00 p.m. GMT, ET, and PT.

Additional talent scheduled to appear includes: Aimee Mullins, Keb’ Mo’, Laura Osnes, Rupert Friend, Sam Heughan, (who will portray Paul Newman in an upcoming film), Takuma Sato, Clea Newman (daughter of Paul Newman), and more. Although COVID-19 has forced the cancellation of in-person camp programs this summer, SeriousFun, which is made of 30 camps and programs, launched a variety of awareness and fundraising activities, including SeriousFun for All, to not only ensure camps are able continue serving campers and their family members safely during this crisis through innovative virtual programming, but also help camps prepare to welcome campers back as soon as it is safe to do so.

“SeriousFun Children’s Network is founded on the principles of inclusion, community, friendship, respect, and hope, and we want to bring those to life for everyone who joins this event. During this challenging time, our campers needed their camp experience and the connectivity it offers more than ever and we were proud to continue doing that through virtual programs,” said Clea Newman, SeriousFun Ambassador. “While this event is free for all to participate, it’s important in helping us raise awareness and support for our programs so we can continue to deliver on our mission at no cost to campers and their families, just as my father intended.”

The star-studded and inspirational event is a special show of appreciation to all of the campers, families, supporters, volunteers, and communities who have been bringing camp to life for kids for more than 30 years. The pre-recorded, hour-long production will feature celebrity appearances, and musical performances. In addition, the virtual event will also welcome SeriousFun campers from all around the world, from countries including Italy, France, Israel, Japan, Hungary, Ireland, and the U.K. Their stories, and those of their families, are sure to inspire.
