Attending Staff Training is essential for Team Integration, position-specific training/certification, and learning all of Roundup River Ranch’s Emergency Procedures, Policies and Program needs.  Please review our training schedule dates below to plan ahead and confirm your availability for our essential trainings. If you are not available for all of these dates we encourage you to apply as we may be able to grant some flexibility on a case-by-case basis and depending on prior experience. 

  • May 10th (arrival): Leadership Training: Clinical Nurse Manager, Summer Staff Nurse(s), Team Lead(s), and the Behavioral Health Lead  
  • May 15th (May 14th arrival): Nurse Extern & Certified Nurse Assistant, Lifeguard & Challenge Course Staff 
  • May 21st (May 20th arrival): All Staff Training – Program Leaders, Cabin Leaders and Program Assistants 
  • June 6 – August 4th : Core Camp Season

2024 Seasonal Medical Opportunities

We are currently hiring for: 

    • Summer Staff NurseAre you a Pediatric Nurse who would love the opportunity to see patients experiencing the simple joys of childhood and go from being patients to campers? At Roundup River Ranch, we can’t make that happen without NURSES! We are looking for pediatric nurses to join our Medical Team this summer to provide comprehensive and safe medical care to our campers. This position is a good fit for someone who values teamwork, collaboration, hard work and fun (we love to dance)! Come ditch your scrubs for tutus and unicorn onesies, and be part of the magic! Requirement of at least 1 year of pediatric experience (ER, Acute Care, PICU, Home Health).
      If you can’t commit to the whole summer, we always need volunteer nurses so please consider that opportunity!
      • Daily Pay Rate: $200 
      • Please note, you must be 19 years of age or older (by 6th June, 2024) to be eligible for this position

    • Nurse Externship: Are you a recent nursing graduate or nursing student with a passion for pursuing Pediatric Nursing? This position is a great opportunity to learn about children with complex medical conditions from specialty providers and experienced nurses! The Nurse Extern will be a member of the Medical Team and work in tandem with one of our nurses each session to help provide care to campers and continue growing their nursing skills. This externship opportunity does require a person that has completed their first year of nursing school (including their Pediatrics rotation), or has just recently graduated.
      • Daily Pay Rate: $110

    • Certified Nurse Assistant: The Certified Nurse Assistant will support our Summer Staff and Volunteer Nurses with basic camper care tasks like grooming, dressing, bathing, eating, and exercising. They also assist the nursing staff with medical tasks like taking blood, monitoring vitals with medical equipment and reporting patient behavior and wellbeing to appropriate staff. This position will be in direct care of campers alongside supporting the Medical Team to keep the Depot operations going. This position is a seasonal summer position that will be part of the summer medical team including summer staff nurses and nurse extern. This position will report to the Nursing & Medical Operations Director. Position Dates: May-August. Camp sessions taking place during June & July.
      • Day Pay Rate: $110
