Summer Staff Nurse:  The Summer Staff Nurse supports the medical safety, health, and well-being of campers when camp is in session and during on-site programming through direct medical care of campers. This position requires more than 1 year of pediatric nursing experience. The position needs a team player who values teamwork and will collaborate with other seasonal summer staff nurses and the Medical Team (Nursing & Medical Operations Director (NMOD), Medical Director and Nursing Coordinator). This position provides all necessary direct medical care for campers during the duration of their time at camp including medications, treatments and daily procedures.
  • The Daily Pay Rate for this position is: $260 per day
  • Please note, you must be 19 years of age or older (by 6th June, 2025) to be eligible for this position 
Clinical Nurse Manager:  The Clinical Nurse Manager supports the medical safety, health, and well-being of campers at Roundup River Ranch when camp is in session and during on-site programming. This is a leadership role that supports medical operations as well as helps manage and support the seasonal summer staff nurses. This is a seasonal opportunity for a uniquely qualified and experienced pediatric nurse.  This position requires a highly motivated and inclusive team player who finds working with children with serious medical conditions to be rewarding. In collaboration with the Nursing & Medical Operations Director (NMOD), Medical Director, and Nursing Coordinator, this position provides direct nursing care to campers similar to a charge nurse in a hospital setting. 
  • The Daily Pay Rate for this position is: $310 – $325 based on experience
Certified Nurse Assistant: The Certified Nurse Assistant will support our Summer Staff and Volunteer Nurses with direct care of campers. This includes activities of daily living such as grooming, dressing, bathing, eating, and exercising; as well as medical procedure support including bowel programs and feeding tube care. This position seeks a passion for working with children with complex medical conditions, values teamwork and is easily flexible. The CNA also assists the nursing staff with medical tasks including blood draws, monitoring vitals with medical equipment and reporting patient behavior and wellbeing to appropriate staff. 

  • The Daily Pay Rate for this position is: $110 per day
  • Please note, you must be 19 years of age or older (by 6th June, 2025) to be eligible for this position 


Attending Staff Training is essential for Team Integration, position-specific training/certification, and learning all of Roundup River Ranch’s Emergency Procedures, Policies and Program needs. Please review our training schedule dates below to plan ahead and confirm your availability for our essential trainings. If you are not available for all of these dates we encourage you to apply as we may be able to grant some flexibility on a case-by-case basis and depending on prior experience.

  • May 6th (arrival and start) Leadership Training: Medical Staff

  • May 9th (arrive and start) Leadership Training: Team Lead(s), and the Behavioral Health Lead

  • May 12th (arrival and start) Lifeguard & Challenge Course Training for identified Program Leaders

  • May 19th (arrival and start) All Staff Training – Program Leaders, Cabin Leaders and Program Assistants

  • May 30 – August 7 – Core Camp Season
