We’re SO excited to welcome the wonderful Dr. Adel Younoszai to our Board of Directors! 🥳

Dr. Adel is a pediatric cardiologist with over 30 years of experience. He is currently a professor at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Director of Cardiac Imaging at Children’s Hospital Colorado. He joins the Board with a wealth of knowledge, taking from his leadership experience at universities, hospitals, and summer camps!

A Hawkeye at heart, he grew up in Iowa City and attended the University of Iowa for undergrad and medical school. He found his love for summer camp at a YMCA program in Iowa and later at Camp Holiday Trails in Virginia. Dr. Adel started his career as a fierce advocate for medically supported programs, and he believes they are a key opportunity for kids with life-altering diagnoses to develop confidence and leadership skills. Since Roundup River Ranch opened in 2011, he’s volunteered as a physician at every cardiology summer session and most Family Camps!

“I get much more from my experiences at RRR than I give, it has made me a better physician and person.” 🫶
